We are going to move forward and have the parade. There is rain in the hourly forecast starting around 1 pm so please plan accordingly. After the parade, everyone is welcome to come into the school for a visit, refreshments, and pictures. Grandparents are welcome to take the students home after their visit. Sign-out sheets will be at the doors.
----There is rain/thunderstorms in the forecast for tomorrow but there is a gap in the rain from around 11 through 2. At this point in time, we are still planning on having the parade. I will be keeping an eye on the weather today and tomorrow morning and will make my decision by 11 am tomorrow morning. I know that will be late notice but we all know how quickly weather changes in Indiana.
If the weather allows us to have the parade, we will move forward even with a little rain. If it begins to thunder or lightning, the students will move under the awning at door 5 for the duration of the parade, and grandparents can still park and come in for a visit. Please send in a coat or jacket with your student tomorrow in the event that it does rain.
If the weather does not cooperate and we do end up canceling, we will cancel the entire afternoon and reschedule at a later time.
--------
With the success of last year's parade, we have decided to continue with this new tradition. Students will line up along the parade route and grandparents will drive along the route. Please enter the park via St. Road 101, the entrance near the airplane. Follow the path behind the pond and to the west side of the arena. All vehicles will be stopping along there for the "staging area".
To add to the excitement of the day, please decorate your vehicle. The parade is open to all vehicles, Golf Carts, Tractors, Cars, etc. Candy is allowed to be thrown! Please be aware we do have peanut allergies at our school.
