Religious Education and Development

Adult Faith Formation
Learning more about our Catholic faith is a life-long experience and process. Various programs of adult catechesis, adult study and discussion groups, scripture studies, workshops, retreats, film series, and other courses are offered to adult parishioners each year. As a result of participating in adult education, participants may encounter a greater experience and understanding of God, enrich the life of the community to which they belong, and assume greater responsibility for Christian service in the world.

Catechesis
Our parish catechists are volunteers from different walks of life who are willing to utilize their time and talent generously to serve the religious educational needs of the parish children. They are dedicated to assist the parish families in passing on the faith to their children. In service training is provided. We need volunteers for all age ranges.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The RCIA program is the process by which men and women enter the way of faith and are welcomed and initiated into membership in the Catholic Church. By joining with the parish at Sunday liturgy and through catechetical sessions, adult men and women are invited to discern the call of Christ in their lives and to know and be welcomed into the sacramental life of the church.

The RCIA team members serve as catechists, facilitators and coordinators. This ministry is also in need of sponsors who are willing to walk with the candidates through their process and be a parish companion in their faith journey.

Vocation Committee
This committee is comprised of members of the parish who want to encourage vocations to the priesthood and religious life here at St. Rose. The members lead a number of activities that promote the consideration of vocations from our parish including monthly vocation prayer retreats.

Anyone interested in taking part of these important ministries should call the parish office.
